It’s no surprise to me that 65% of Canadians are willing to make trade-offs—like rethinking location or choosing an older home—to find a space that truly fits their family. Over the years, I’ve met buyers of all ages and backgrounds, and I’ve seen how creative and resilient people become when it comes to making a house feel like home. In fact, 63% of people say they’d even consider relocating, with nearly half open to moving up to an hour away. For many, that means adjusting spending, extending mortgages, or even working a little extra—sometimes it’s a whole family effort. I believe deeply that home ownership should bring pride and comfort, no matter the route you take to get there. Every journey is unique, and finding the right fit often means balancing dreams with real-life considerations.
